The end is what we journey towards, but it’s the journey that matters in the end.
Gather the grop at Hotel Bouleverd. Pick up previous group from the supermarket, oh, except Kim & Lance. Arrive at David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, another one down, Jase returns to find Maria. Little elephant orphans running down the hill in blankets. Trumpeting, playing in the dust. Lucnh at Indaba campsite in Karen. The first condition of understanding a foreign country is to smell it
Meet the group at Red Chilli’s Campsite and Hostel. Pre-departure meeting under shade of trees. No sign of Denford. Maggie replaces Oscar after he blew his head. Kim finds snake in clothes. Sample local African cuisine of pizza takeaway & Indian. Local bar for drinks. Beer and pool. Circus tent dorms. Sleep with the chorus of Kampala dogs.
